Refund Policy

Secure-Slot connects providers with verified clients. This policy explains how payments work in each mode and our refund terms.
1. Two Modes, Two Payment Flows
Discreet Mode: Clients pay the confirmation fee to the platform via Interac e-Transfer. The platform keeps the fee. Providers receive verified leads without exposing any banking details.
Connected Mode: Clients pay via Stripe (credit/debit). Providers earn 80% of each confirmation fee, paid directly to their linked bank account. Platform keeps 20%.
2. Confirmation Fees Are Non-Refundable
Confirmation fees serve one purpose: to filter out time-wasters and confirm client commitment.
- The fee is charged before any appointment takes place
- Once paid, the confirmation is complete — the fee is non-refundable
- This applies to both Discreet Mode (Interac) and Connected Mode (Stripe)
Why no refunds? The fee pays for our screening service — SMS notifications, automated reminders, and fraud checks. It's not a deposit on future services.
3. Payouts (Connected Mode)
Providers using Connected Mode receive payouts via Stripe:
- ✓ Your 80% share is deposited automatically after each verified booking
- ✓ Payout timing depends on your Stripe settings (typically 2-7 business days)
- ✓ You can view payout history in your Stripe Express dashboard
4. No-Shows & Disputes
If a client doesn't show up, mark it as a no-show in your dashboard. The confirmation fee is kept (by you in Connected Mode, by the platform in Discreet Mode). The client receives a strike on their record, visible to other providers.
5. Account Closure
You can close your account at any time from your dashboard settings.
Pending Payouts
In Connected Mode, any pending payouts will still be processed according to Stripe's schedule. Once processed, no further earnings will be generated.
Data Deletion
Upon account closure, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Client data for completed bookings is retained only as required by law or for dispute resolution.
AUP Violations
Accounts terminated due to Acceptable Use Policy violations forfeit all pending payouts and are ineligible for future use of the platform.
6. Disputes & Support
If you have questions about this policy or a specific transaction, contact our support team at support@vaultdeposit.ca. We respond within 48 business hours.
7. Client Refund Requests
We do not process refunds for clients who paid confirmation fees. The fee is for our screening service, not a guarantee of service quality or delivery.
If You're a Client
The confirmation fee you paid confirms your booking and covers our automated screening service. It is non-refundable regardless of whether the appointment occurs.
If you believe a Provider committed fraud or charged you without authorization, contact your bank immediately to report the issue. You may also report fraudulent behavior to compliance@vaultdeposit.ca for platform safety review.
