💳 Understanding Secure-Slot Credits

Secure-Slot credits are a platform currency used to pay for bookings and services within the Secure-Slot ecosystem. This policy explains how credits work, what they can and cannot be used for, and our refund terms.

1. What Are Credits?

Credits are a non-refundable, non-transferable platform currency that can only be used within Secure-Slot. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for real currency.

Credits are displayed in your account balance and can be used to:

  • Pay for booking verification fees ($10 per booking on Free tier)
  • Upgrade to Starter ($49/month) or Pro ($199/month) plans
  • Renew subscription plans

2. How Credits Are Earned

You can earn credits through:

  • Welcome Bonus: New providers receive $50 in welcome credits upon registration
  • Referral Program: Earn $50 in credits when someone you refer completes their first booking
  • Provider Revenue Share: Earn a percentage of verification fees collected from your clients (40% Free tier, 50% Starter, 60% Pro)

Important: Credits earned through revenue share are platform credits, not cash payments. They cannot be withdrawn or converted to money.

3. What Credits CANNOT Be Used For

To maintain platform integrity, credits have the following restrictions:

  • ❌ Credits cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to a bank account
  • ❌ Credits cannot be transferred to another user or account
  • ❌ Credits cannot be sold or exchanged for goods or services outside Secure-Slot
  • ❌ Credits cannot be refunded once applied to your account
  • ❌ Credits are forfeited if your account is banned for AUP violations

4. Credit Expiration

Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active and in good standing. However, accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be subject to credit forfeiture after prior notification.

5. Refund Policy

Secure-Slot has the following refund policies:

Subscription Plans

Subscription payments (Starter/Pro) are non-refundable. When you purchase a subscription via Interac e-Transfer, the payment activates your plan immediately. There are no prorated refunds for unused time. Plans do not auto-renew — you choose when to renew.

Booking Deposits

In Verified Mode, clients pay a non-refundable verification fee to confirm commitment to the appointment. Secure Mode deposit holding and dispute handling do not apply unless that feature is explicitly enabled.

Platform Credits

Credits added to your account (whether earned or from welcome bonus) are non-refundable and cannot be converted to cash under any circumstances.

6. Account Closure

If you choose to close your account, any remaining credits will be forfeited. We encourage you to use your credits before requesting account deletion. Accounts terminated due to AUP violations forfeit all credits, deposits, and subscription fees without exception.

7. Disputes & Support

If you believe there is an error with your credit balance or have questions about this policy, please contact our support team at support@vaultdeposit.ca. We review all inquiries within 48 business hours.

Provider Cancellations & Fraud — No Refund Handling

If a Client (the person who paid the verification fee) is cancelled on or scammed by a Provider, Secure-Slot does NOT handle refunds. The verification fee paid was for our booking verification service only — not a guarantee of service delivery or quality. We are not a payment processor or mediator for service disputes.

If you believe a Provider charged you without authorization or committed fraud, contact your bank immediately to report unauthorized debits and dispute the transaction. You may also report fraudulent Provider behavior to us at compliance@vaultdeposit.ca for platform safety review, but this does not entitle you to a refund.
